Whether you come to the ranch for Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall, there are seasonal
activities to do in the surrounding areas. Or, you may choose to just stay and enjoy
your lodging at the ranch with the quiet nights under star filled skies – the choice is yours!
*Please note this is NOT a dude ranch, or a ranch that provides guests with activities on-site day in and day out. From time to time as mentioned in our lodging descriptions, we may have smaller activities depending on the time of the year.*
From skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling, the nearby Medicine Bow – Routt National Forest has many areas open for all types of exploration. Below are various snow day ideas:
- Go snowshoeing on the ranch or on nearby trails in Medicine Bow – Routt National Forest
- Explore the cross country ski trails at Snowy Range Ski Area base or popular USFS trailheads such as the Little Laramie Trailhead or Corner Mountain Trailhead
- Get a downhill ski or snowboard lesson from the Snowy Range Mountain Sports School
- Snowmobile the great Snowy Range, proven to be world-class riding during years of great snowfall.
In the fall, surrounding BLM and nearby mountain terrain also offering great hunting (deer, antelope, elk, mountain lion, & bear). Equipment for guest use, depending on the activity, may be available at request, however as explained earlier, activities to guests are not typically offered. These various items are first come first serve – if you wish to purchase rentals in Laramie before embarking your final trek west to arrival, check out various rental shops located in downtown and west Laramie.
